Scratch Theater presents “Before Tomorrow" What price would you pay for immortality? Would you relinquish the warm kiss of sunshine on your soft skin? Would you let yourself be overcome by a crippling and horrifying addiction? Would endless life be worth the price it asks of you? Knowing the difference between a gift and a curse—"living” in the balance of sheer beauty and horror—may not come easily. So, do you navigate this reality alone or, in search of comfort, do you pull those you love closer, and closer, and closer…?
On October 22, Scratch Theater invites you to Neue Bühne Friedrichshain to be part of an improvised performance that explores these choices. Experience a whirlwind of improvised theatrical storytelling, music, and lights—this is long-form improvisation like no other. Berlin's English-language long-form improvisation ensemble delivers an energetic and emotional rollercoaster of an evening.

Some tickets are kept exclusively for sale at the door. Reserved tickets with "manual cash payment" must be picked up at the box office no later than 15 minutes before the performance begins—any tickets not collected by this time will be returned to the open sale at the door. The discounted ticket price is offered to current students at the Scratch Impro School, students of other improvisation schools, school children, students, trainees, the unemployed, those doing military or civilian service, and pensioners upon presentation of appropriate proof.
The current Corona Protection Ordinance of the State of Berlin, as amended, applies on the premises. A modern air-exchange system has been installed in the space.
The space offers barrier-free access. The theatre and the elevators are wheelchair accessible without restrictions. A wheelchair accessible toilet is available.
About Neue Bühne:
Neue Bühne in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg saw the light of day in late 2021 and has since provided a place for courageous and contemporary actors from all branches of the performing arts. In addition to the multilingual and interdisciplinary theatre program, poetry slams, improv programs, workshops and panels as well as talks on socially relevant topics are being added constantly.
As an independent stage, they host a wide variety of national and international groups and artists. In addition to the self-run programs and festivals, the team also runs a series of events that offer the creative cultural scene a platform to present it to a diverse audience and to help shape the social discourse within the framework of the panels and network events. Their doors are open to interested artists who would like to actively shape the scope through their projects.

Alle Karten die zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch nicht eingelöst wurden, gehen zurück in den freien Verkauf. Der ermäßigte Betrag wird, mit Erbringung eines Nachweises, den aktuellen Schülern der Scratch Theater Improvisation School, Schülern von anderen Impro-Schulen, Schülern, Studenten, Praktikanten, Arbeitslosen, Menschen im Bundesfreiwilligendienst und im Freiwilligen Sozialen Jahr sowie Rentnern zur Verfügung gestellt.
Es gelten die aktuellen Corona Schutzauflagen des Berliner Senats auf dem gesamten Gelände. In den Räumlichkeiten ist ein modernes Lüftungssystem installiert.
Ein barrierefreier Zugang ist vorhanden. Das Theater, Fahrstühle und Toiletten sind mit einem Rollstuhl ohne Umstände befahrbar.
Über Neue Bühne:
Die Neue Bühne in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg erblickte Ende 2021 das Licht der Welt und ist seitdem ein Ort für mutige und zeitgenössische Akteure aus allen Sparten der darstellenden Künste. Neben dem mehrsprachigen und interdisziplinären Theaterprogramm kommen immer wieder Poetry Slams, Improvisationsprogramme, Workshops und Panels sowie Vorträge zu gesellschaftlich relevanten Themen hinzu.
Als unabhängige Bühne wird ein breites Spektrum an nationalen und internationalen Gruppen und Künstlern präsentiert. Neben den selbst organisierten Programmen und Festivals betreibt das Team auch eine Veranstaltungsreihe, die der kreativen Kulturszene eine Plattform bietet, um sich einem vielfältigen Publikum zu präsentieren und den gesellschaftlichen Diskurs im Rahmen von Podiums- und Netzwerkveranstaltungen mitzugestalten. Ihre Türen stehen interessierten Künstlerinnen und Künstlern offen, die mit ihren Projekten den Rahmen aktiv mitgestalten möchten.
