A writer sits down at his desk. He has an idea, he begins to write... but no, that's not what that character would do. Is it? He starts again. No, no... he starts in the middle. He starts at the end. He throws it all away and begins again. Finally, exhausted, he picks up the originally-scrapped sheets of paper and finds that he had what he needed from the beginning.

He begins to write...

(un)written is the first in a series of shows created by Colin Willox (of Berlin's Scratch Theater and Improlaboratoire). This series seeks to capture moments of "flow" (being in the moment, enjoyably focused on creation) between two improvised art forms. In the weeks leading up to the performance, artists will experiment and find a concept that merges and blends two artistic worlds on stage for an audience.

In this first show of the series, improvised theatre meets writing. Special guest—and writer—Max Caskie will join improvisers on stage for a night of experimentation with the written word. Come for surprises, narrative adventure, and a night filled with lights, sounds and unexpected twists. Adam Groves joins us as lights improvisor. Andrés Atala-Quezada joins us as musical improvisor.

Performers: Max Caskie, Naomi Blakeslee, Konstantin Häfner, Andrés Atala-Quezada, Adam Groves & Colin Willox.

Special thanks to Daniel Orrantia for help conceptualizing the show.

Tickets on sale at the door for 8 EUR (5 EUR for students, ALG1 and ALGII, asylum seekers, seniors, disabled...)

Doors/bar open at 19:30; show starts at 20:00.

Masks must be worn inside the theatre. The current Corona Protection Ordinance of the State of Berlin, as amended, applies on the premises. A modern air-exchange system has been installed in the space.
